斎藤助教授登場。
「はやぶさは、午前6時過ぎから垂直降下を開始しました。午前6時23分に、川口プロマネはGOと判断し、継続のコマンドを送信しました。はやぶさは6時23分現在、高度370m、降下速度は12cm/sです」
斎藤助教授は足早に退場。的川教授が後に残って質問に答えている。
「着地は予定より10分ぐらい遅れるかも。前回に比べると、たった一回を経ただけれども慣れてきた感じですね。これが3回目となると逆に危なくなるのですけれど」

Rough english translation of this entry:
Professor Matokawa came into the pressroom at 6:26 AM.
"We made the GO decision at 6:23 AM."
Associate Professor Saito also appeared.
"Hayabusa began the descent at around 6 AM. Project manager Kawaguchi made a GO decision and we sent a command to continue the descent operation. As of 6:23, Hayabusa's altitude is 370m, descent speed is 12cm/s."
Associate Professor Saito went out of pressroom in hurry, Professor Matokawa remained, answering questions.
"The landing may delay about 10 minutes. We've gained experience from the last attempt and getting more confidence now - if this were the third attempt, we should have been more cautious of becoming overconfident."
